Mr. Bennett is the Manager of Business Development at McKinnis Consulting Services (MCS). As the Manager of Business Development at MCS, he responsible for providing oversight to a team focused on supplying strategic insights for healthcare providers as related to the optimization of their revenue cycle performance. Mr. Bennett was employee number seven at MCS, and has contributed in many areas as the firm has grown to over seventy individuals. Areas of responsibility have included internal methodology development, recruiting, internal policy development, sales and marketing, development of a social media presence, client management and product delivery.
Mr. Bennett earned his Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently, he is working to obtain his MBA from the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago. Mr. Bennett has certifications in Epic Systems' Hospital Billing module as well as the HFMA's Certified Revenue Cycle Representative program. Mr. Bennett is a member of the First Illinois HFMA chapter. Prior to his work at McKinnis, Mr. Bennett worked as a consultant for Wellspring Partners, which was acquired by Huron Healthcare in 2007.
Mr. Bennett was a 2008 graduate of the school of Economics and was also a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and the Illini Hockey club while in Champaign. He has served as a professional mentor for the Pi Kappa Alpha Honors program as well as in a mentorship role for HFS Scholars in Chicago.
